Tips for keeping your kids busy during workouts, meal preparation or while completing projects.

So I have a three and nine year old and trying to keep them busy and not arguing during my workouts can be pretty fustering to say the least, however I have found some awesome ways to keep them busy. I pull all the ¨last resort¨ cards. If it is a nice day I will let them play outside which will keep them busy for a portion of the time but then I will pull the hose out let them play in the water, take a few toys outside and they will not want to come inside for hours! When they do, I throw them in the bath with some bath paints, bath slime, or a bath bomb. My girls love the ones that change the color of the water or even the glitter bath bombs. Yes I know a mess to clean up but it is so worth it!

On days that they don’t want to go outside or the weather just isn’t very good it is time for puzzles or paints! Put a old cloth down or some newspaper and let them have at it. Some other great activities are kinetic sand, play dough, stickers, stamps, markets, and scratch sheets. There is never a need to spend a fortune on this stuff either; in my house, it end up on the floor and the cats start playing with it. I have found the dollar tree is the place to go for most of these items and you can’t beat that!
